ABOUT ME

Bonjour et bienvenue !

I’m a French teacher with a lifelong love for language, art, and culture. I hold a Master’s degree in History of Art and Archaeology from La Sorbonne (Paris) and Poitiers University, and a Bachelor’s degree in French Literature.

Before focusing on language teaching, I worked in several cultural institutions, including the Château de Versailles, and taught History of Art at Poitiers University. In 2010, I moved to the UK, where I discovered my true vocation: helping others learn and fall in love with the French language.

In Cambridge, I founded The French Lesson, teaching everyone from toddlers discovering their first French words to postgraduates and professionals from the University of Cambridge (Trinity, King’s, Gonville & Caius Colleges, and others).

My Teaching Approach

My lessons are tailor-made to each student. I believe learning a language should be personal, enjoyable, and effective — not one-size-fits-all. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, relocating to France, or simply dreaming of speaking more confidently, I’ll design a programme that fits your goals, pace, and interests.

I use a constructivist method, which means lessons are interactive and focused on real communication. You’ll speak French from the very first session in a relaxed and supportive environment. I pay special attention to pronunciation, grammar, and accuracy, always with clear explanations and practical examples.

After each class, I’ll send you exercises, vocabulary, and resources so you can continue learning independently — because autonomy is key to real progress!

I Offer

  • Advanced & Expert Coaching: Break through language barriers and master complex grammar and expression.

  • Beginners & Intermediate Lessons: Build strong foundations in vocabulary, grammar, and conversation at your own rhythm.

  • Exam Preparation: DELF/DALF, GCSE, A Levels (A1–C2).

  • Professional Coaching: French for business, interviews, public speaking, or settling in France.

  • Translation and proofreading of academic and scientific papers, lectures, and technical documents in both French and English.

My Students

Over the years, I’ve worked with:

  • University students, researchers, and professors

  • Writers, musicians, and visual artists

  • Professionals in business, health, and education

  • Children, families, and expats

Lessons can explore any topic you love — art, culture, literature, politics, business, or everyday life. And of course, like most French people, I never say no to a good discussion about food or current affairs!
